Why do we waste time going through cycle after cycle
When life does not allow anything to last forever?
We use our time and strength to fall in love
To place each other higher than above
Only to fall out of it when the time arrives
Back to strangers and out of each other's lives.
We use our time and strength to make friends
To make sure we meet up every other weekend
Only to drift apart when life steers us towards different paths
Back to those kind of friendship where hi & bye is enough.
We use our time and strength to work hard at our jobs
To make sure we earn more than what is alot
Only to tire ourselves out faster than we can last
Back to the earth where everything turns into dust.
Why don't we ever learn?
To treasure time.
Never let it burn.
